Most document work is interrupted by tooling, not by the document. We set out to remove the interruptions and leave the work.

The obvious thing should work

A tool that needs a manual has failed before it starts. Labels say what happens, actions keep the same name from button to confirmation, and the result is the one you expected.

Fidelity

Your document comes out intact

A conversion that loses a table has not converted anything. We rebuild structure rather than flattening pages, and we would rather take a moment longer than hand back something you have to fix by hand.

Custody

Your files stay yours

Uploads are encrypted in transit, working copies are cleared on a schedule, and deletion is always available to you directly. We do not sell what passes through the workspace.

A desk that keeps the whole job in one place

Our vision for Smart PDF Desk is a workspace where the document is the only thing you have to think about. Not the format it happens to be in, not which of a dozen single purpose sites can handle the next step, and not whether the layout will survive the trip.

That means treating a document as a structure rather than a picture: pages that can be reordered, text that can be corrected, fields that can be filled, and signatures that can be placed where they belong. When the underlying structure is respected, the chain of small jobs stops being a chain and simply becomes the work.
